Inventory Crash bug
« on: October 05, 2006, 03:03:00 pm »

Version: v0.22.107.21a

Bug: Pressing return in view units (v) inventory (i) with an animal, wild or tamed selected causes an instant game crash.

Reproduce: (v) (i) highlight animal, hit enter.

Notes: I believe that this may be caused by the fact that the creatures have nothing in their inventory but the game still tries to examine the null object.
This crash may also occur with dwarves if they are holding no inventory, though I haven't been able to confirm that.

I have included my savegame in this post as a test case, there is a fox to the extreme NW and a pack of unicorns to the extreme SW to test this on.
The fortress is also populated with tame animals.

If a couple of people could try this out themselves, both on their own game and this save, and post here with confirmation of the crash that would be helpful.

-edit-

I have had this crash confirmed by another player on a different machine.

I know this didn't happen in earlier versions, because I tried it to see what gorillas wear, but haven't looked at it in the latest version.

Okay, this has been fixed now.  I'm surprised it lasted more or less undetected all these years!
