Putting yuor eggs in a basket? (or barrel)

Is there a trick to getting hen eggs stored inside a barrel or pot or whatever?  They don't seem to store inside anything.

I think there is a stock pile option for eggs, most egg stacks are also over 10 and there for would not be stored in a container

From the description of the event, I think that your copy of Dwarf Fortress was on drugs when this happened. That's surely the only logical explanation for a human werewolf with deadly farts dying from it's own excrement after slaughtering some goblins comrades.

Yes, they store in a food stockpile, but not in a container in the stockpile.  Maybe half the stacks are less than 10, but that's a interesting thought, except I think barrels hold 20 of other things.  I keep thinking I missed baskets or straw or something, that you would really need to store eggs in a barrel.
