I have my clerk/manager/broker dwarf stuck in 'Attend Meeting'. He refuses to do anything else. I've tried drafting and undrafting him, swapping him into the Guard, turning on 'Highest Precision', removing him from the Noble positions and giving them back... nothing helps. The human guild representative from the last caravan died in a wildfire after just standing there as it approached; could his death have been the cause of this, and how can I snap my dwarf out of it?

EDIT: Also, I'm running 40d.

I had this problem when a seriously wounded guy became mayor. He fell unconscious during the meeting, and he was stuck in Conduct Meeting mode, and another dwarf was stuck in Attend Meeting. He would go off to eat and drink but wouldn't pick up other jobs.
