Subject says it all... in 33b the garbage dumps dont seem to work for me. anybody else having this problem?

Nope... I've been having stone dumped outside my Fortress just fine.

Stone worked just fine for me, but it seemed like they didn't want to dump any of the wood. Of course, I also had an immigration come in the first summer, so I'm going to try regenerating that world instead of using one from 33a just in the off chance that something got bugged.

Does dumping stone count as "stone hauling" or "refuse hauling"??

It's not stone hauling... I assumed it to be Refuse or Cleaning. Maybe even an unskilled task, like Harvest Plants.

If you're using the K>D Dumping method, that's Refuse Hauling.

Harvest Plants uses Herbalist skill, so it's not really unskilled.

ok setting dwarfs to do nothing but refuse hauling still doesnt get them to dump stone.... could this be because i genned this world & started this game in 33a & am now running it on 33b?

or do you think maybe its because this fortress is built directly below a human city?

Do you have "dwarves collect outside refuse" turned on under Refuse Orders?

33b they will now haul refuse

yes i have refuse haulers
yes i have a designated 2x1 dump site active (i, d?g, a)

yes i use K, D to dump items
or stock, V, D (same thing just quicker)

they will now rummage and dump all the items i chose (anything with X,X, or XX)

beyond that it may even relate to the items they are to dump

99% of my selected dunno.. 100's of dumpped items have been finished goods worn items x,X,XX
the people with refuse hauling do their job
but also so do the dwarves with item hauling

id imagine dumping an armor rack would require a furniture hauler to dump the item

i am however not currently testing that idea

person with a new fortress (generated 33b) with fresh 7 dwarves can test that much better than me

having a 32a generated fortress
assigned dumping 33a
and adventure mode/ reclaim 33b

generally the reclaim in 33b should consider it a 33b world

Ive tried turning that on... it didnt seem to have any effect...

well they did go pick up some human bones, think the humans will be interested in buying a human-skull totem?

Actually, the zones start active... if you hit a during the designation... you deactivated the zone.
