[U]nits screen filter
« on: March 06, 2011, 05:03:17 pm »

How about we have filters for the units screen, some can be,
Military
Invaders/Hostiles
Caged
Univited Guest [fbs, etc]
Dead dwarfs
Dwarfs
Non-Military Dwarfs
Legendary Dwarfs

How does this sound?

It sounds OK, except something like that is suggested time and time again. It is on ESV too.

It's a good idea, which is why I put it on ESV.  Feel free to vote for it :)

You could have berries on the rocks and the dwarves would say it was "berry gneiss."
You should die horribly for this. And I mean that in the nicest possible way.

The stated reason for waiting to do the interface overhaul is that the interface has stuff coming and going so often that organizing it now wouldn't mean that it was organized 10-15 releases from now.

It's a pretty good reason.

While I can understand that point in general, it's hard to imagine not having a units screen or not wanting to be able to filter out certain parts of it, though.  It's not even hard to reach 1,000+ units and that takes a heck of a long time to scroll through.  I have over 300 live dwarves right now, for example.
