I don't think ethics tags have any effect on fortress mode, but I would be happy to see DWARVEN SCIENCE prove me wrong.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that either EAT_SAPIENT_KILL or MAKE_TROPHY_SAPIENT (I forget which) causes a civ's caravans to bring items made from sapient creatures in fortress mode if set to ACCEPTABLE...

[EAT_SAPIENT_KILL] makes the entity eat other sapient creatures that they kill in battles or duels during worldgen. Just look at any elf warrior.

Yeah I was able to embark with lost adventure meat and mummy meat with those ethic tags as ACCEPTABLE

Mummy meat? Must be like jerky with a spicy negative energy flavor. Slightly more on topic, I know ethics also determines who wants to go to war with whom in world gen.

I just realized two things. 1. For the Win and F___ the World have the same initials. 2. They have the same meaning in Dwarf Fortress.

Did a bit of testing with the [SLAVERY] and [KILL_PLANTS] tags, but from the perspective of fortress outsiders.

More specifically, I made both acceptable to elves.

Haven't found anything that may be gameplay related to slavery, but upon trading with elves, I've found that they're perfectly happy with being traded goods made from the dead carcasses of trees. Hell, they took the initiative and asked for my wooden bins to sweeten a deal.

I've only tested this once, so this may need further investigation.

Yes. That was the way KILL_PLANTS worked in 40d as well (check df wiki). SLAVERY does not do anything important, or at least not anything obvious.
