Where do I put the [NOEAT] and [NODRINK] tags?

I'm experimenting to see what causes all of the empty fortresses in the game.

You can put them pretty much anywhere in the creature's raws, as long as you avoid putting them into a caste definition. Putting them early should avoid that in most cases.

Empty fortresses... sounds like you're talking about Adventure Mode.

IF that's the case:
Currently only CITY are populated in Adventure Mode. The others would have to been modded to [DEFAULT_SITE_TYPE:CITY]
and maybe also [LIKES_SITE:CAVE_DETAILED] in their entity definitions. Humans would need no modification in this regard, but Elves like TREE_CITY and Dwarves CAVE_DETAILED

If that's NOT the case:
A more pinpointed location for [NO_EAT] and [NO_DRINK] would be (according to examples in the raws) after the [CREATURE_TILE: and before the [PREFSTRING: ... but I could just be whistling into the wind on that specification.

For an example Goblins are currently [NO_DRINK][NO_EAT] due to them being [BONECARN] and there being issues with that currently.

Actually goblins will be NO_EAT forever, because Toady doesn't want them to be herders.

He pretty much said "I want them to be creepier, and having goblin armies running across barren wastelands is a lot scarier than greenskins herding cattle."

Neat in a way. Too bad currently Kobolds have to either have [BONECARN] removed or [NO_EAT] and [NO_DRINK] added or they don't last. I'd thought Gobbos got fixed and Kobolds had just gotten forgotten. Of course I didn't look very hard either...

Now I know `-`v

Couldn't gobbo's just herd humans... (not elves though, no one would care if it was elves)

That, I think, would be pretty scary.
