... Maybe I should start using visualizers.

Or better yet, start using The matrix tileset! See beyond the code... Today!

"I don't even see the code. All I see is blonde beard, brunette beard, and redbeard."

...Y'know, female Dwarves have beards anyway.
Not in vanilla they don't. Ever since toady made castes, females have been beardless. It's easy to change though.

Wut? THIS IS BULLSHI-

Yeah, all you need to do is put the tag in brackets.

Dwarf beards don't grow. They're born with them and they never get any longer.

They have braids instead , however since the braids are extreemly thick in most cases unless they are held apart they can look quite similar to a beard.

That's false, actually. It's just that physical description only reflects styling, rather than actual beard length. In actual game data, beard length is 0 on birth, and increases from there. Non-dwarves don't start growing beards until they become adults.

Female dwarfs should totally have beards, and should be as strong, if not stronger than the average male dwarf.
There are plenty of species on earth that have females stronger and more combat ready than males, Black widows and lions for example.
As long as dwarven civilization has been around, the women have been carrying their babies into battle, they need the extra strength to deal with the burden, and protect the young! Have you ever wondered why they bring babies into battle?
There are two reasons.
--First of all, every dwarf needs to be taught of battle from an early age, so they may one day defend the fortress from invaders, for we all know later attacks are far more gruesome than the early ambushes.
--The other reason is to allow the mother to keep her shield proficiency up while caring for her baby :P

Hmm... I remember when I was dealing with the Volume and Mass thread pretty heavily, I made calculations about the size of tiles, basically figuring it should be a 10 foot cube.

If, instead of a "beard decade", it was a measure of twenty years (bidecade?), then you could say that a "beard bidecade" is the length of one tile.

I'm sure you know that two decades is called a score, whichs sounds better with beard anyway, a beard score.

Damnit, why didn't I remember that?  (Other than the fact that nobody ever says it anymore...)

"Tiles are a beard score wide."

"Urist, place the table two beard scores down from the corner."

Actually score is just twenty, it doesn't mean years.

Dwarven blood types are not A, B, AB, O but Ale, Wine, Beer, Rum, Whisky and so forth.
It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.

Why does this remind me of bonsai kittens?

Because in order for that volume/mass equation to work, the dragon would have to be a cube.

If females are stronger and can reach high shelves then what will the job of males be? A population consisting exclusively of engineers, physicists, programmers & mathematicians?

Disturbing.
