Is it possible to have your old adventurer join you? I don't know if there are any special requirements. I went to find him after I spawned, he retired in a fortress and once I found him I asked him to join, he just said something about enthusiasm and isnt joining, so if it is possible do I just need to do a couple of kills or what?

they usually just join you regardless of your renown, but in your case you just need to kill 1 bandit leader or a night creature

oh yeah if you die before your retired adventure does you can still play as them so exploit that and move them on to an reclaim/future embark site for extra protection from sieges.
