It doesn't look like it does, but I have two dorfs in my militia right now (small pop cap) and I could do some differential analysis on them.
That'd be good. The game really doesn't need more unit types that can't be ordered to put some socks on.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

Dwarf Therapist is the problem. You cant use it to enable any profession that uses a tool, ie mining, hunting(Not confirmed I dont hunt), and wood cutting. They will never pick up the tools. I've had glitched miners a few times. I assigning it in therapists, and then unassigning it again, wait for a bit in game then manually assign everything. This sometimes hasn't fixed it, but thats what happened to me.

Actually, this is an old bug from the early 31.x versions, the issue was from the arsenal dwarf position.  Dwarfs would no longer check to see if they had the proper equipment for their job, since the arsenal dwarf was supposed to tell them when to pick up new equipment.  DT added a forced check for equipment, and the arsenal dwarf went away, so the bug no longer exists.  Assigning picks and axes works fine in the latest versions of DF & DT.  Well, unless you encounter a weird bug, anyway.

Also, obviously, magma avalanches and tsunamis weren't exactly a contingency covered in the mission briefing.
I can assure you that Ardentdikes is not the first fortress to be flooded with magma. What's unusual is that we actually meant to flood it with magma.
