Pikes and Spears

Do they use the same weapon skill?  My human is using a copper pike and I keep seeing iron and bronze spears everywhere, not sure if I can use them as effectively as the pike.

No, thay dont have the same skill.
the pike is the better weapon as it stabs deeper.

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

But I believe it also gets stuck more than a spear because the greater penetration. I should go test that on elves for !!Science!!

Also a pike needs both hands to be used without penalty.
