We don't seem to slaughter [PET_EXOTIC] animals that we can buy from the Elves.  If you change that in the raws to simply [PET], you can slaughter them again.  It doesn't require regeneration, but you do have to change the raws in the Save directory.

Speaking of bugs could some one try to verify this one a I found? If a bee keeper get interrupted while trying to collect a hive, say by a wild mountain goat, the hive will disappear but he will try to resume the collection and go back to the spot the hive disappear at and be stuck there. You can unstuck him by canceling the order though.

I've encountered the same problem. If you cancel the order another beekeeper will just try again. Deconstruct the hive he is trying to use. This is guess and check if you have multiple empty hives. However it does have it's unfortunate advantages, for instance having a baron be the only dwarf with beekeeping skill on during an ambush. With magma.
