Question: Adding Reactions
« on: February 17, 2011, 09:32:54 pm »

If, I for example added a reaction to the list, would I need to re-gen a world to use it?

Yes.  You also need to add a matching PERMITTED_REACTION tag to the entity.

In older versions (40d) there was a little trick where you could make a bunch of random reaction entries, generate the world, and then edit those reactions to be whatever you wanted and it would change--as long as the entry existed before the world was genned, you could change them to be whatever you want.

Does that trick work anymore with the newer versions, I am curious?

As long as you don't mess with the [REACTION:(what ever it may be)] then yes, it'll still work. Any thing after that line is fair game.

I just realized two things. 1. For the Win and F___ the World have the same initials. 2. They have the same meaning in Dwarf Fortress.
