mugs/goblets functional?

are mugs actually used for drinking, or will the dwarves still just suckle on the spigot/dunk their head in the top?

Are the fortresses there for psychological reasons?  Are they trying to hold back entropy itself, rather than the goblin hordes?

Mugs are, at the moment, useful only as trade goods.

Meaning artifact mugs/goblets/other such crafts are completely useless.

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.
