Military dwarf can't dress himself.

So, I recruited a milker to be my newest death squad member. I locked him in a room with the best armor and ordered him to attire himself. He did so, and I let him out. I go to look at him about a month later, and he's sitting in my armor stockpile constantly swapping his armor around for other peices, taking off his boots and socks and putting on metal armor, then swapping back to the socks and boots. He's been doing this for about 3 months now for no apparent reason and nothing I do will stop him, He's switched out about half of his superior armor for inferior armor, and half of his armor for rotting clothes and I can't figure out why. I haven't messed with his armor settings since I recruited him.

This is what you get when your fortress is an equal opportunity employer when it comes to the military. Perhaps you can remove him untill theres a way to fix this and put him in his own squad, a "special" ops squad.

On topic, i've only seen this once in my fortress and he stopped after about 5 minutes. I'm not sure what the problem is.

I ended up locking him in a room, forbidding every peice of clothing on him and telling him to take off his armor. Then I locked him back in the room with the armor and told him to put it on, he had no problems after that. Although I did have to do it several times as he refused to put the high boots on the first few times.
