I want to make minotaurs, giants etc tameable and trainable. can you tell exactly what changes should i do in the raws

They would make nice opponents for gobbos in the arena

Find the raw file the creature is in.  Go through that file until you find the entry for the creature.  It will start with [CREATURE:MINOTAUR] or something similar.  Somewhere in that entry, add the tag [PET] to make it a tamable creature.  Add [TRAINABLE] to make it trainable.  Remove [PET_EXOTIC] if it's already in there somewhere.  Add [COMMON_DOMESTIC]  to make it possible to buy them at embark.

Can you do this in an existing fort?  Or only prior to embark?

Prior to embark.

Something you might type in a German language class if you were stupid and playing some kind of text tag, I guess.

You can remove PET_EXOTIC after embark, and add PET and TRAINABLE after embark. Probably can't add COMMON_DOMESTIC after embark, though. You have to do it in the saved game's raws, not the general raws, in order to have it work after embark, however.
