What kind of hamster? And a word of forewarning, if they weren't handled alot when they were younger hamsters can be mean little buggers. Been bitten a few times while trying to catch them for customers.

I had a hampster once. Twice, actually. The first one jumped out of my hand, whilst I was standing, landed on the floor on its back, shaking. I put it back into the cage and went to bed, terrified.
Next day after school, cage and hampster are gone. "It had cancer." "YOU BULLSHIT." "Norly." "FFFUUUU".

I then had another a while later, but its terrible how I didn't look after it, or visit it, after a while (12 year old me, here). I gave it to my brother to look after, and he let it run around his room freely. Can't remember what happened to that one... or its name...

I feel so sad now. I hate you guys.

When I was about 5 or 6 I had a hamster called 'Silly'. It was the evilest thing you can imagine. AND to make it worse it knew how to get out of its cage. You had to watch your feet when he was on the run or you might get your toes bitten off. Hamsters are made of pure evil.

You should have gotten a guinea pig.

My gf has a Dwarf Hamster... thanks to a suggestion from me she named it Deshlir which I got straight from the Dwarf Fortress language file being the dwarven word for cuddle.
