Forcing a diagnosis?
« on: January 30, 2011, 07:06:05 pm »

I've got two soldiers that just finished off a forgotten beast, but not before the beast apparently did something to both of them.

Since the battle ended, they've been persistently accosted by some unknown nausea and pain inducing ailment. Theyre constantly vomiting and in some pain, but they wont rest. They just continue to train, drink, sleep, etc.

My chief medical dwarf is on standby for anyone who needs diagnosing, and the only job he has now is diagnosing, but these guys wont "rest".

Any way to get them treated without their needing a more serious, bed-ridding injury?

Not a sure thing, since I've never encountered this before, but you could always confine them to a burrow in the hospital zone and see if they get the hint. That is, if your hospital has available beds.

Dwarves are weird at that.

I have a dwarf who lost his arm in a fight with an Ogre and keeps doing whatever he used to do before.

If you really want them to get checked out (do they have any Wounds?) you could always hurt them a little yourself.

Could you explain what fixed this problem/what you misread? It will help people searching in the future.
