[38c] Cave-in destroys pit.

How-dee.  Causing a cave-in above eerie glowing pit tiles will cover them with the floor that was dropped on them, thus removing the pit tile.

It doesn't exactly have a huge effect on the game, but I figured it probably wasn't intentional.

I think if a falling natural wall/floor ever touches another wall/floor during the fall, it'll stop and cement itself there, since that wall/floor will support it.  I've never deliberately collapsed blocks of natural terrain, so I'm not really sure.

This effect only reaches one tile wide tho.

Actually, falling walls will punch through...well...anything but more walls.

Allow me to clarify:  By touches I meant "becomes adjacent to," not "falls onto."  Given a wall/floor tile A, any adjacent supported wall/floor tile will support A.  If A falls and, in the course of the fall, becomes adjacent to B, then will A cement itself to B?  If so, that might explain this bug.  That's what I was tryin' to say.

It fell past several other levels of adjacent floors and walls, can't see why it would decide to ignore all of them and stop only at the bottom.

I think it just has something to do with it being the bottom z-level, and thus incapable of having stuff fall through it.  I'll have to try caving in some stuff over a chasm, see if that works.  Kudos to whoever does it instead of me, I've got plenty of stuff to do already.

Probably.  Wasn't too long ago some reported a constructed floor with no support that didn't fall into the chasm.

I've fixed the constructed floor over chasm bug, and I'm not sure if that fix is going to matter for this or not without testing it out.  We'll have to wait and see.
