Everquest 1999 look interesting, but it needs some kind of "Titanium Client" that sounds like it isn't free.

Allods online is nice, until all the free items you are showered with in the newb quests run out, then it becomes p2p.

Don't lie to us. You have tried Runescape. You know, that "horrible' game with a massive bandwagon bent on destroying any and all of it's credibility? That game with a thousand times more content then any other browser-based game? That game that will land in you in center of nerddom if you dare even murmur its name in public?

Yes. That one. Try it.

That one that has a company apparently intent on destroying everything that made it good?

they actually are bringing back free trade and normal wilderness in about a week.

yes, i used to play runescape, if you ask me, it was very fun, have a level 110 ex-members account, but i stopped playing

Actually, I'm pretty sure some of the Iron Realms MUDs have more content, and they're apparently browser based mostly.

Battleground Europe just went free rifles. Not an RPG in any sense, but still a very good MMO. Not too too heavy requirements i don't think.

What do you mean it went free rifles?

Theres a 14 day free trial with full access then you can keep playing with (paratrooper) rifleman/smg unlimited free.
