I think you're being a bit more cruel than strictly nessecary.
I did apologize for my error, and I DID read the line at the top of this board. I went to the reported bug list and did a search for both 'merchants' and 'caravan'.

I did not search for traders, and while I probably should have, that still doesn't give the result I want. Because it says 'Human traders get confused by two trade depots', and mine were dwarven.

Honestly, I was just trying to be helpful.
I guess I'll refrain from posting anything again in the future, because now I'm just feeling attacked. Sorry for being new.

You can't really win if you have new information about an old bug.  Either you get blasted for necroposting, or you get blasted for not searching.

I'm not claiming I'm innocent: depending on my mood, I'm sometimes not gentle about pointing out previously-reported bugs.  But it would be nice if there was a bit less assumption that everyone is a terrible awful trollperson.

Well, I agree that the replies were a little bit harsh. And to put the "ban" quote into perspective, as far as I can remember Toady said that after a forum regular (not even a newbie) resurrected a random old thread just for the heck of it, so that wasn't really the same.

Finally, as for the question of to necro or not to necro, I think the best solution (if somewhat cumbersome) is the following: Why is it annoying when old threads come up? Because you read through all the posts without realizing their context and that the information they are based on might be totally outdated. Hence, a solution might be opening a new thread but linking the old one. That way you put both the old thread and your new post into the proper context...

A human trafic jam occured before with two depots. This picture is a case with one depot.
It got fixed by removing the trade depot, but that meant i couldn't trade with humans or dwarves.
This happened when the humans got trapped in a siege and got scattered, the wagon remained on top of my depot and when the dwarves came, they crashed on top of the humans. For a second it seemed i could trade with the dwarves after all,  but no, after ordering some junk to the depot, it was impossible ... it was funnier when it happened than explaining it here...
Well, actually, it sucks to miss two important caravans.
...Actually, I have been missing them quite often beause of goblins for a while, I'm improving my defenses as we speak.
I hád a save, but I stupidly overwritten it with a save after destroying the depot. Surprisingly, there were more human wagons than the one you see in the picture.
