increasing room value with mechanisms

so ive noted that mechanisms are worth more than statues...so if i decorate a room with a lever, and link it to a whole bunch of stuff, would all the mechanisms in that lever count towards room value? Ill probably link them to floor grates in my hallways, since those are walkable, dont look so bad, and are easily mass produced.

Are the fortresses there for psychological reasons?  Are they trying to hold back entropy itself, rather than the goblin hordes?

yep, every mechanism linked to that lever will count towards room value.

Try linking your nobles' levers to their personal zoo full of hostile creatures.

It's easier to just build a weapon trap. The special trap weapons are way over valued and only cost one bar. Silver is a good choice.

You could also just repeatedly deconstruct the end building and then rebuild/reattach, it leaves one in the switch i believe.

Cheap, I know.
