dwarfs attempt to get water for...

so i have noticed that sleeping dwarfs who are really thirsty will trigger a get water job as if they were wounded in 40d.  does any one have any idea how to stop this, typically by the time the dwarf goes and gets the water and brings it back they are awake and doing something else,  how do I stop this or is this just a bug?

From the description of the event, I think that your copy of Dwarf Fortress was on drugs when this happened. That's surely the only logical explanation for a human werewolf with deadly farts dying from it's own excrement after slaughtering some goblins comrades.

It's a known bug. I'm pretty sure there's no workaround.
