And then I see this headline: FLORIDA WOMAN SURVIVES ATTACK BY ‘FLYING’ BARRACUDA

First of all, she fortunately survived. I appears he had some medical skill and both of them swimming: her partner was able to keep her alive until the doctors could get to her and stitch her up. And they didn't panic and drown.

Second, I find it absolutely terrifying that larger fish are now learning how to fly. I think XKCD has aptly demonstrated the terror that large flying fishes can cause.

Even though this was a barracuda, this is just the start of a slippery fish. Next, larger delta fish or migratory fish will pick this skill up from the barracuda and inadvertently introduce it to the carp of the rivers and streams.

We already spend millions on carp control in some areas. Will it even be feasible in the future?

You underestimate the dwarfiness of some modern day men (and women). Could you imagine how many people would leap at the chance to do battle with flying super-fish? Best EXTREME sport EVER!
