My Baron is a high master mason... Is this normal in 31.18? Oversized screenshot linked below.

Appointed nobles in the current version continue to do work the same as they did before becoming a noble.

It's a bug. They even have a token in the raws called [MENIAL_WORK_EXEMPTION], but it doesn't seem to work correctly.

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

Then I guess my current Count has another bug on top of that, that causes him to function like a real noble :D
He was in the military, and on break, when he was appointed Baron.
Ever since, for the past 10 or so ingame years, he has the 'on Break' job, and won't do any labor anymore, except meet with diplomats.
He will still obey any military orders I give him via the (s)quad orders menu. He cannot be made the leader of a squad though.
(NB: I have no real military; no barracks. All my civilians except my miners and my woodcutters double as my military (and always have their weapons/armor on)
Bug fixes bug. Only in DF
