two-step movement? Bonus: another lag question
« on: January 12, 2011, 12:53:22 pm »

I've been trying to play adventure mode for quite some time, but I always give up because of the lag. Is the lag there for everyone?

It seems my character can only move two steps a time. He never takes a single step, even if I press the movement key as fast and light as I can. Is it the same for anyone else? Is it a setting, or a lag?

Thanks in advance for answers. I know the lag questions are abundant, but I never saw a post dealing with automatic two-steps.

Edit: I've tried having no weather, no economy, generate small worlds etc., so I'm not looking for ways to get rid of it, since buying a new super computer would be the only way.

I believe how long you need to hold a button for it to take the command twice is settable, but I'm not sure that's what this is about.

Movement problem solved: the settings are in the key bindings menu which becomes chosable upon pressing ESC in adventurer mode.

Still wondering about the lag though. Does everyone have it really bad?
