Empty container with one command?

I don't know how, but apparently you can [d]rop everything in a container at once instead of having to select every item individually. Can anyone tell what keys I pressed?

d-b-d.

Then undesignate the bin itself. All the contents will be taken to your local garbage dump

Pick up a unit of liquid (blood, vomit, or whatever's handy), [p]ut it in the container you want to empty (if necessary), then [d]rop it to empty the container.

Note that if you want to get rid of liquids without dumping your whole backpack, you can [t]hrow them with no ill effects.
