Embarked on a lair...
« on: January 02, 2011, 09:34:05 pm »

... and found a zebra devil -20 z-levels down. Yes, 20 - level lair, and counting! I was ready for a night creature, and will tell you how the battle goes with my 7 war dogs and 7 swordsdwarfs.

EDIT : I found a cavern in it! Maybe it's a cave, not a lair.
EDIT2 : Two swordsdwarfs and a war dog down, soldiers unhappy.
EDIT3 : Three swordsdwarfs and two war dogs down! This adventure mode, but in fortress mode!
EDIT4 : Unable to keep the last swordsdwarf in the cavern, he rushed up to the zebra so I finally tryed to win. I lost. Was fun though.

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

This time with hammerdorfs. And mod elephants to be brought at embark. Tommorrow, though.

Thanks, that's actually pretty good. I used it with the 21 dwarf startup, and there was nothing but cave animals. Like Giant Cave Swallows and Elk Birds. Maybe the zebra died of boredom? I mean, he had so much fun killing those seven dwarves he couldn't wait for another? Oh well. Thanks for the mod anyway!
