Im not sure if this has already been covered, I couldnt find anything on it though.

Im playing the mac version of .18, and whenever I go to aim in adventure, it crashes whenever I choose what enemy to aim at.

is there a workaround for this?

Don't aim. Just punch 'em in the face.

You could try re-downloading dwarf fortress, or just not use aimed strikes like soap said. If you didnt know already, just moving in the direction that an enemy is will make you attack them automatically as long as you're next to them.

Once I select a target it automatically attacks a random body part unless I am using wrestling. Any tips? Thanks in advance

Yup.

Im also using ironhands tileset, not that I think that has anything to do with it.

The only thing I've modded otherwise is taking out aquifers.

I was having a similar issue, when using a graphics pack. Removing it allowed aiming. Possibly coincidence, but that's my experience of it.

Try aiming on a clean default install.
