Awesome dwarven civ?
« on: December 21, 2010, 11:03:34 pm »

Just noticed this engraving on one of my walls:

Engraved is a masterful Ast Elbelaban rendition of a image of a forgotten beast. The image is the symbol of The Cheerful Vestibule, a local dwarven government.

So, they have a forgotten beast as their symbol, but they're called The Cheerful Vestibule. Awesome or not?

A man would see that as a difficult challenge.
An elf would see that and despair.
A dwarf would see that and say, "Bring it on."

Well I see it having two possibilities:
- They made the forgotten beast really happy
- They are extremely powerful and slaughter their enemy while remaining unusually hapy about it.

The first I see as unlikely due to it being a forgotten beast. The second... let's just say we should be afraid.

No! No! I will not massacre my children. Instead, I'll make them corpulent on crappy mass-produced quarry bush biscuits and questionably grown mushroom alcohol, and then send them into the military when they turn 12...
