[Spiders Everywhere]

I think this was in another thread, but I don't see it on the bug list, so I wanted to give it its own thread.

I have an underground river, and towercaps and shrubs are growing on smoothed and engraved muddy stone floor. After the plants die (trampled? they don't seem to last long), the floor tiles turn to sand. So far my engraver hasn't freaked out over this, but I'm not sure if I've just been lucky enough not to lose a masterpiece tile, or if the game isn't recognizing this as a defacement event.

This combined with how hard it is to get rid of mud is making a real mess of my fortress.   I wouldn't mind the mud so much if this got fixed.

Shrubs/trees are a tile type, so it can't preserve that information.  When I get around to controlling mud, it should be less of a problem.

Actually, if you use 'k' to check the ex-shrubbery, you'll note the engraving is still there. It'll say "sand" or whatever, but when you hit Enter it brings up the description of the engraving.

So the engraving isn't lost? I guess that's why my engraver's still sane. Well, that makes me feel better.
