First FB in the spring exactly one year after embarking.  Ok, so it was a great blob composed of water.  I just imagine it roaring and slurping around impressively, and then a dwarf just runs up and kicks it in half.  No wonder it was forgotten

My adequate swordsdwarf putting down his crossbow, picking up masterwork steel sword, and beheading a charging unicorn. Still doesn't mean he isn't an idiot for not picking up bolts though.

Yeah,

Breaching the pits (in 40d) and not being wiped. I walled them off quickly so I wouldn't get destroyed, but still... Now all my marksdwarves are ticked.
