I think masterwork leather armor is equal to base quality iron, so I'm not sure what artifact quality is equal to.

I'd like to make it extra-clear that none of this is true anymore. Material actually matters now in a way that quality can't quite adjust for.

Artifact armor isn't really much better than masterpiece armor. If you're going to give someone metallic armor of decent quality, don't bother giving them artifact leather armor instead.
