Forcing gobbos to come
« on: December 12, 2010, 09:13:33 pm »

I'm on my autmun of my third year I've got no gobbos whatsoever. No thieves, snatchers, ambushes, sieges, nothing. Is there a way to force them to come. Also, I've got 87 dwarves. Is there a way to force the gobbos to invade. My fort wealth is nearly a million urists due to a fey mood adamintine throne. (I would get the humans to besiege me but I haven't seen them either. I also know that it is nearly impossible to get elves to besiege)

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

It is possible that you either embarked in a world where goblins died out or in an area that they cannot reach. In either case, you will never get any enemies, and you can only determine this for certain by copying your save, abandoning your fort, and checking either the site of your old fortress in embark mode or legends mode.

You can actually force the elves and humans to siege you if you don't mind a little modding. Just remove their [INTELLIGENT] tag and replace it with [CAN_LEARN]. The elves will probably be crappy enemies though, and elves/humans will only siege you in the seasons their caravans would have arrived in without further modding.

Will those tags effect my world or will it require regen? Anyway, off to see the gobbos if they are there.

EDIT : No gobbos or humans at my embark site...

EDIT2 : I've got gobbos and hmans in my world too, jut not there. Yarg. Stupid gobbos. Welp, I'm gonna try out what you said.
