You should take out the part of 'making love to the rock' with something more forward.

it should just be 'and penetrating rocks'.

It would be really really cool if soundsense could play the tune with muddled drunken voices whenever your dwarves are partying and things are going good..

that was one of my favorite parts of Pirates!

When I started the project, many months ago, I never imagined that anyone would ever even consider paying a triple digit sum to have the final project to be recorded.  Personally, I'm with Retro and Capn: the song should be done by just regular forumgoes for <$50 and all proceeds go to Toady.

I'm not just saying that because it's cheaper though, I always envisioned this as something done by a bunch of normal (relatively speaking) forumgoers.  If you payed someone to do it, the song would lose its "rustic" charm, the same charm that makes DF more fun then any $60 blockbuster, ever!

PS: there are already a couple volunteers on the other thread...

Dwarven economics are still in the experimental stages. The humans have told them that they need to throw a lot of money around to get things going, but every time the dwarves try all they just end up with a bunch of coins lying all over the place.

The EPIC Dwarven Drinking Song of Many Names

Feel free to ask me any questions you have about logic/computing; I'm majoring in the topic.

If I had any sort of decent microphone, I'd be all over recording my awful singing or drunken laughter in my best Dwarf voice.

Alas.

Think of it like Sim City, except with rival mayors that seek to destroy your citizens by arming legions of homeless people and sending them to attack you.

How exactly are dwarves supposed to sound?

Would we be using only scottish-accent dwarves, or would any gruff voice do?

Do you mean dwarfy in the same way you got your avatar, nbonaparte?

Sorry, when I saw the thread I couldn't resist. Can't say I can help you though, my voice is so elfish, if I were any good at singing I could join a boy band. I dred to think how high it was before my voice broke.

Scottish is good, but not necessary.
