I have a swordfish bone artifact battleaxe, that has no icon on the map.  Someone put it in the stockroom when the maker dropped it, and it shows a blank square..

Hrm, weird.  Is the artifact there when you go over it with [k]?

I had this happen with an artifact chest. It was definitely there in the stockpile when I looked at it with 'k', and once I placed it in a room it appeared as a normal grey container.

On a similar note, I had something else odd happen when the chest was first being hauled away from its creator's corpse (damn you, giant cheetah!). It was flashing a different color every few seconds or so, like it was changing colors. It almost seemed like it was intentional, but it's the only artifact I've happened to see being hauled. It's stayed the same color ever since I placed it. Is that part supposed to happen?

None of this seems normal -- they should just display like other items.  Does somebody have a save with an artifact like this?

I do Toady.  It is still hanging around.

Thing is, that's an old fort.. I started a new world with the introduction of the dyes.

The older artifacts are all messed up -- but they should still display, so I think the error will still help be fix something.
