I decited to take the Drunken Rabble Challenge (http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=72532.0) to see how far I'd make it. I have a militia of 6 dwarves and 1 dwarf is the Trader and Chief Medical Dwarf. I decided it would be entertaining to attack and kill a nearby gorilla, and my friend here on the lower right corner had a foot accident:

The meeting area next to the Depot is also a hospital. Why won't anyone pick him up, and why won't he try to crawl back to the hospital? I'm worried this will be a huge problem in the future.

I believe you would need to have a free bed in the hospital to place the dwarf in before anyone will go out and grab him

Well, that sucks. I guess he's going to starve to death now...
