Music.
« on: December 02, 2010, 06:31:14 pm »

Im sorry but im just curious, Im not exactly intrested in music, Not to the point where I absulutly hate it... But I just don't like it... The ironic part is I play an instrument.

Could it be possilbe this stems from the fact I hate IPODs and things such as that. (Who needs 40 damn applications and 20 giga byte drive for a thing that was origannly made to just hold music?)

I would like your opinions on music or if its normal to not really care about it?

I only really listen to music when I'm exercising or trying to distract myself from thinking or when I have a headache. In those cases, it generally helps, otherwise it just generally irritates me.

I guess, though its even more annoying when I have a headache.

It is possible to fill up more than 20gb of space with music and not applications. I never once launched one application on my Ipod Classic.

Personally, im a Metal fan, and listen to music very often. However, I find I cannot listen to music when I am doing anything else (eg playing games) because either that "else" fully takes my interest, and the music becomes pointless, or a particularly good song/section starts, and i loose interest in the other task.

For me it depends on the type of music, and other factors. Most of the pop-stars are terrable musically, because it seems most of their fame comes from their character, and they just exploit this. However, some people seem to find this is what appeals to them.

If you dont enjoy music, you should try to explore different styles. You may just need to find something that appeals to you. For me to find what I enjoy, I went through countless different artists from various styles.

By the way, what instrument do you play? I play Piano and Guitar.

Modern iPods are not designed to hold music. They are iPhones for people who don't want the phone bit. Personally, my taste is a bit odd, it varies quite a bit. I have an MP3 player, but I don't use it much, I prefer listening on my computer.

I use music to drown out loud people.  Or to bring back old memories.  Or sometimes when in the car.  It's otherwise not a big thing for me.

I used to not care much about music but last year I really got into the music I listen to now and now listen pretty much every day. Helps me relax, get out anger (Horrorcore :P) and what not.

That is one fine instrument.

I personally hope to learn to play someday. Cost is way to prohibitive at this point though.

I love music, and on the subject of Ipods, I have at least 50 gigabytes of pure music. I still have my ooooold 5th generation Ipod, with a 60 gig hard drive. It's pretty busted up, and only functions as a portable storage device though. It sucks NOT having music with me everywhere, but I also do see advantages.

There is nothing more infuriating when you say something to someone with headphones on, then, ten seconds later they look back at you, Yell (because they can't tell) and say something completely off having not heard you. Even worse, they say "WHAT?"

I know it's unrealistic, but I can't help but imagine little bearded babies for dwarves. In my mind, they come out of the womb fully bearded. That's how the mother carries them around, too, she just drags them around by the beard or ties it to her belt. When the father's on duty, he just ties their beards together and the baby just kind of hangs there, swinging to and fro with Urist McDaddy's movements.
