Some modding questions
« on: December 05, 2010, 08:00:08 am »

Okay, so i am willing to mod a bit around so i have a few questions...
When I raised the normal attributes of the dwarf, increasing each attribute, it seemed that my dwarf became slower... Why?
Also where is the file for titans to show up?
Where do i find megabeasts in the raw?
Thanks!

Your dwarfs get buffed out out propotion with the speed bonus gained from agility, i guess? Or maybe your overcomplex-ed the system and it's just your comp going too slow.

you know the speed that is shown in adventure mode? It is that that has become slower... so i figure all the other attributes must be less too...

Stronger dwarves have thicker muscles, which means they weigh more, which means they're slower than an otherwise equivalent dwarf with a lower strength attribute.

I don't know how one point of Strength compares to one point of Agility.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Also, keep in mind that the speed of individuals can vary a lot by how tall, broad, or fat they are, which have nothing to do with stats like Strength or Agility. Humans with Superior Agility usually have speeds of about 1300 to 1400, but occasionally I see some with 1100 speed because they are fat, or some slightly faster because they are skinny.
