Fish no longer give bones?
« on: October 30, 2007, 06:55:00 am »

I've got a fisherdwarf finding plenty of turtles and the occasional fish, and i've got another dwarf working in the fishery processing them. However, it doesn't seem to be generating any bones or shells, unlike in the previous version. Is this a bug, or am i missing something?

Bones and shells are only generated after a Dwarf eats a prepared fish/turtle.  Unless you mean it's not happening after they're eaten, rather than after they're processed.

I must've misremembered then. I thought the fishery did that. Sorry.

I think something is bugged with prepared food. I get bones/shells when a dwarf eats a turtle but get nothing if they eat a turtle biscuit or any other kind of prepared food.

My solution for now has been to disable cooking with things that give me bones/shells and only cook with other things.

I would hope that turtle biscuits don't contain bones or shells!!

Yeah, those should probably come out at the kitchen.  But not at the biscuit.
