I would like to have an armrest on only the left side of my chair. That way I can still easily enter and exit from the right and have a rest for my left arm, which isn't being used to hold the mouse all the time. What do I even do with my left arm anyway? I never checked.

I have been known to vault over the right armrest of my chair when I need to get up.

Well, you have a good reason, since your chair doesn't really move.  No one else would do that, because swivel chairs can swivel.

I used to have this really cool chair that wasn't actually a chair.  It was an "ergonomic stool" - it had no back or armrests, but had a thickly padded knee-rest to match the seat, and it rolled.  The only problem was, the knee-rest was adjustable, by way of a screw-arm in the middle, so you could only get both knees on it like you're supposed to by stepping around it like a saddle.  I instead sat turned on it, with my right knee on the left rest, my left knee in a half-assed Captain Morgan pose, and the monitor on the left corner of the desk.  Was actually pretty good, since it gave my arm enough support that I never had wrist pains or anything.  Although I did develop a giant bony spur on my right elbow.

My chair can swivel, move around, lean back and move up and down.

Between those four I can be entertained for a good while.

My chair doesn't have room to move anywhere, I just like sitting on something comfy.

I've got enough room for a good high RPM spin. And thanks to such a sturdy desk, I have plenty to launch from with the corners. Plus, my room is surprisingly roomy enough to send myself across to different corners.

My room has had unpolished wood floors since I've lived in it for the past ten or so years.  I never drag my feet, anywhere.

I could get splinters.

My chair no longer has an attached backrest; just arms. I've got the back cushion attached roughly, but it's being held on by a sliver of plastic about a centimetre wide.

EDIT: my spelling was never typo'd what are you talking about a ha ha ha

The biggest thing I miss about using a desktop is nice chairs that always accompany it. Sure its great having this mobile beast of a PC. But, you can never justify getting a good chair for yerself because of that mobility.

I miss swivvel chairs, so when ever I go into uni and they have them I just muck about on them like a small kid cause I miss the feeling :D

I have a chair.
It's that thing by the curtain with the carboard box on it.
I use the back as an armrest and mousepad and just use pillows against the wall for a back.
It's not a swivel chair, though.
I think it's from the 60s or something.
The cardboard is what I use to put my computer on when I don't have it on my lap, otherwise it overheats from the rugs.

That piece of crap you see in my post is my chair of choice. It has an un-upholstered seat, with the back rest still together somehow after what, roughly 20 years of being in the house? It has 4 stainless steel legs (or more like a stainless steel body), and all the feet (wheels) are still intact. It is surprisingly comfy, despite being rendered utter crap. However, the original plywood is still in good order, despite the big split you see. I think the splitting is what's making it comfy. v :) v

My other chair (the red and black one in the other pic), that thing is surprisingly uncomfortable. The legs used to have plastic covering them, but after a colony of roaches decided to live inside it (kudos to hurricane seasons), I had to remove the plastic covering, only to learn that all the roach crap corroded the steel to a rather rusty state. It still rolls, but my feet hurt when resting on them. As for the seat, it's upholstery is fraying a bit, and it has an inner spring which I'm not sure how much could eventually expose after enough contact. I have no plans to get violated by my chair, thank you very much. Let's not forget, all kinds of animals (tons of cats, and plenty of dogs) have been resting on it over a good few years, so it's rather greasy on the seat. Oh yeah, and this thing is also a bit bigger than my current chair, but only been in the house for closer to a decade. Went through at least 2 other reupholsteries. Original chair had no reupholster.
