Is there a way to heal it?

Sleep for a solid 8 hours a few times, there's a good chance that it'll go away.

Playing a cheesemaker in an average Fortress 'round here would be. Freaking. Terrifying.

Think it largely depends on which parts of the hand have been severed. My adventurer has a severed motor and sensory nerve in his right arm so I don't think it will heal regardless of time. Not sure if smaller nerves that are damaged can grow back?

I think if the weapon is light enough and your biting skill is high enough you should be able to grasp it in your teeth, and just shake your head wildly to stab and smash things apart if you don't have arms.

Plus I think it'd be incredibly funny to see an angry little dwarf without arms slaughtering a group of bandits with a hammer in his mouth after getting both his arms lobbed off.

Perhaps it refers to mental faculties:

His ability to grasp "the concept of impaired grasp ability" is somewhat impaired.

Anyway... anyway, my head hurts!

The entire content consists of senseless murder, a pile of faceless naked women and zero regard for human life in general, all in the service of the protagonist's base impulses. It is clearly a cry for help from a neglected, self absorbed and disempowered juvenile badly in need of affectionate guidance. What a sad, sad display.
