Lower Back Pain
« on: November 12, 2012, 01:47:27 am »

I was doing squats in weights on friday and my lower back has been sore since saturday morning. From a standing position, it gives upon leaning over and reaching forty-five degrees, or half-way to a 'hunched-over' position. I have wrestling practice again early tomorrow morning, and I can't contact my trainer or my chiropractor because its a vacation day. What can I do to resolve this issue? The pain isn't a concern, that I can ignore. Being able to support myself is what I need.

Stretch.  Every day.  As silly as some might call it, basic stretching (and yoga, etc) caeveryday can really help.  On an ideal I take 20 minutes to stretch every muscle I know how, and it gets to the point where I feel painfully tight when I do not.

And a back brace never hurt.

Going to see a real doctor might help.

I had a similiar pain in my legs after walking around for hours with more than 20 kgs of weight. I hardly walked to the school after that day and needed a friend to carry me around :D

Stretch, stretch, and stretch. It will get worse by tomorrow morning. In the morning, stretch for like 10 minutes.
