Cowboy Fortress?

I remember a small Cowboy Fortress mod for the 40d# series forever ago. It wasn't very popular, but I was wondering if anybody still has it. And if not, if anyone would consider making one?

You might check Dwarf Fortress File Depot, Iunno if it was around during 40d but it's a place to start at least.
