Kinesthetic sense?
« on: November 20, 2010, 01:19:25 pm »

I never found out, What exactly does it do.. And if possible can I be supplyed with a link to find out what all of the attributes do?, Some are self explaintory... Take for example empathy.. If you have low empathy that means you have no regard for life correct?

If you have low empathy, you're not very good at at animal training or wound dressing skills, neither of which are used in adventure mode (yet!), so you don't need any points there.

Mostly the mental attributes just influence how long it takes to perform a workshop job, but Spatial Sense and probably Kinesthetic sense improve your combat skills. Focus also helps with ranged combat and sneaking.

I've always thought that kinesthetic sense was your ability to know where your body was and how easily it is for you to move it. For example, moving away from a hammer to make it easier to parry, block or miss your face.

Basically, from my experience, there are only a few attributes that influence adventurer mode just now, being strength, agility, toughness, endurance, spatial sense and kinesthetic sense. (I might be missing one or two there, those are just off the top of my head)

You forgot willpower (crucial for resisting pain) and focus. And I guess recuperation too.

Actually, if you have no social awareness (I also had none of the other "inteligent" attributes) people will yell "DONT TALK TO ME" at you on all conversations and try to kill you. Trust me, it's not pretty.

Same with me, I always take all my points out of the non-useful mental attributes.

Did you try to talk to them after you lobbed a greataxe at them? That might explain it.

Actually, spacial sense is for your immediate suroundings, and would most likely have to do with dodging, blocking, hitting etc.
Kinesthetic sense has to do with things in motion, and would most likely affect shooting & throwing.

Knapping improves both Kinesthic and Spatial sense if that helps any.
