The weirdest fey mood I ever got so far.
« on: November 13, 2010, 05:26:05 pm »

I just recently got my only mechanic got a fey mood. I thought that he would have to be killed because i didn't really have any workshops up.  He goes passed the meeting area, and goes straight to the mechanic's workshop.

Can anyone explain?

What they said, plus, its definitely a good thing, I built a lever using an artifact mechanism in my communal dining hall and use it to release cages in my drowning chamber so now, the dwarf that pulls the lever gains happiness as I do from the slaughter, indirect as it may be.

57. You ask people for tasks and are disappointed when they don't tell you to kill a Winged Iron Giant Lobster that lives in a makeshift shrine.

It's pretty strange that he went to a mechanic's workshop if you hadn't built one yet.

Otherwise not strange at all.

That's what makes it an artifact.  Nobody knows.  If it were easily understood, there'd be nothing special about it.

If you want to really spread the joy use the artifact mechanisms he makes to build a well then make that into a meeting area. Once I used an artifact bucket, chain and mechanism to make a well and my dwarves were so happy they could have been on fire and been thrilled about it.

Then again, the only reason they wouldn't be thrilled whilst on fire if, for say, they were enjoying a truly decadent drink, is if the flames burnt up the alcohol. Then they'd be pissed. And on fire.

Well yea, I didn't really think that through all the way as I'M drunk currently but you get my point, pack artifacts into a public area and your dwarves will be practically orgasming in joy.

Either that's the best meeting room ever, or the scariest mental image ever.

Hello. You may be in the room you die in. In the middle of the room, you see a well, this will draw water and allow you to survive. At the end of the room is booze, but to get to it, you must ignite yourself.

Live or die, make your choice.
