[33g] Reverse tile display corruption
« on: January 26, 2008, 09:59:00 am »

I'm having a strange issue with version 27.169.33g in which certain tiles have distorted rendering when rendered in reverse video / highlighted mode.

This picture illustrates the problem:

Lower Left: Barrel in the font I use
Lower Right: Barrel as it is rendered

Upper Left: Test scribble replacing barrel
Upper Right: Test scribble as it is rendered

Clearly, something is wrong with the reverse image rendering.

Could it perhaps have something to do with how the font BMP was saved (if it isn't happening to anyone else)?

It can happen if the BMP was saved in a wrong format, or color mode. Make sure the tileset you're using gets saved as a 24-bit RGB BMP, because Photoshop tends to switch it over to Indexed color for no specific reason...
