itsy bitsy problem (aquifer related)

oh hai

slight problem i found awsome spot for my fort but started digging, damp stone, aquifer... did  crazy plug thing

but i missed 1 small thing there is several layers to the aquifer is there anyway i can overcome not having anymore soil to "plug" the aquifer with

eg editing raws to make it just go away?

Or, if you are in freezing biome, just wait till it freezes over, dig and build walls.

There is an alternate to the plug method which uses concentric rings to punch through multiple layers.  It requires some planning but is not too difficult to execute.  I am pretty sure the method is covered on the wiki.

I punched through my map wide aquifier eventually, part collapse mostly pump and wall, completely flat plain tho so i only got one level collapsed, and enjoy the spam of cancelled construct building, altho strictly a 3x3 stairwell wasnt necessary and it damn well took 4 years due to various distractions, sieges ambushes etc. But finally i can replace all my above ground traps with non burny mechanisms. :P
