Elephants - extinct?
« on: June 02, 2008, 01:57:00 pm »

My multi-legendary hunter was too good I guess. First the elephants stopped but I got cougars and stuff, now absolutely no new animals come. Is this supposed to happen?

Just so you know, my hunter killed a lot of elephants.

Yes, it's supposed to happen.

As you journey to the center of the world, feel free to read the death announcements of those dwarves that suffer your neglect.

One billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the cosmos. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips, I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my veins. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk and free throw.

I think Toady said it was a bug, but I can't find the quote offhand so maybe not.

Either way, it's known about and there is really nothing you can do about it so hunting is not a long term source of food right now.
