theoretically, yes, the weight of your pick matters a small amount
more importantly its useful-ness is how well it maintains that point

This is for combat only
quality and material have otherwise no effect on mining

Yeah, picks use the max edge stat, rather than density, ingame of course, in RL pick axes are basically pointy hammers.

this guy didn't even know whether material or pick quality makes a difference in mining, I don't think he can read that [/end arrogance]

Seriously though, just posting that really doesn't help us particularly much, unless we went into the raws regularly, in which case I doubt we'd need the help :P
